How this role transforms workplaces:

  • Acts as point of contact for Human Resources and serves as the liaison between the client and Xenium.
  • Acts as a resource for employees in all different aspects of HR.
  • Works collaboratively with Xenium payroll provider to deliver accurate and on time payroll which includes troubleshooting, entry of hours, maintenance and auditing.
  • In conjunction with the Senior HR Business Partner, provides Human Resource guidance and compliance to client.
  • Responds to HR questions from managers and employees as well as providing disciplinary and coaching support. Utilizes Xenium team for assistance/guidance with technical and strategic HR issues.
  • Collaborates with hiring managers to manage the end-to-end recruitment process, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Conducts qualitative reviews of resumes and applications to identify top candidates that meet the requirements of the position.
  • Utilizes applicant tracking systems to manage candidate workflow and maintains accurate recruitment records.
  • Coordinates and facilitates hiring panel kick-off meetings and selection meetings, ensuring alignment with hiring objectives and timelines.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with external recruitment agencies and other talent sourcing partners to support recruitment efforts.
  • Provides guidance and support to hiring managers on best practices for candidate evaluation and selection.
  • Assists in the development of job descriptions and job advertisements to attract qualified candidates.
  • Stays current with recruiting trends and best practices to continually improve recruitment processes and outcomes.
  • Schedules and conducts new hire and benefits orientations and if applicable, delivers follow up paperwork to Xenium and carriers.
  • Works with the Xenium team to administer benefit plans and is the employee point of contact for benefit inquiries. 
  • Works with managers to ensure that all the proper documentation is in place for all aspects of HR.
  • Participates in employee counseling and termination meetings as appropriate; coordinates all aspects of terminations in conjunction with the Xenium team.
  • Works with the Xenium team in implementing HR project deliverables to include: Employee Handbooks, Job Descriptions, Wage Surveys, HR Audits, Employee Satisfaction Surveys, Performance Management Programs, Trainings and other client company objectives.
  • Manages performance review process to include filing and tracking of review forms. Reviews incoming performance reviews for completeness. 
  • Works with the Xenium team to produce appropriate leave paperwork and assists with leave tracking.
  • Administers the workers’ compensation process.
  • Participates in the client meetings to discuss HR related assigned topics as needed.
  • Attends relevant seminars and training workshops to keep abreast of HR best practices as well as employment law updates.
  • Maintains the personnel filing system to include applicants, active and inactive employees.
  • Assists the Xenium team with responding to unemployment claims and participates in hearings when needed.
  • Drives and completes miscellaneous HR projects as assigned.

Required experience and skills:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university and two to three years of related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service and work independently.
  • Possess excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Possess strong interpersonal, organizational, attention to detail, analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Display empathy while maintaining firm boundaries.
  • Ability to work independently while developing and fostering critical interdepartmental relationships.
  • Means to travel to field office (in Oregon) locations - day trips only.

Preferred skills and certifications:

  • Human Resource certification preferred.

Total compensation and salary range:

Xenium HR is committed to providing a competitive compensation package. The starting salary range for this role is $64,743 - $71,303 per year. The hiring team will share more details regarding compensation based on your experience and location during the interview process.
